International Meeting on Substrate-Integrated Microelectrode Arrays
Microelectrode arrays (MEA) are routinely used in basic science and industrial research and development. We invite participants from academic institutions and industry who are interested in new developments and applications. In particular, past meetings proved that young researchers take the opportunity to meet the worldwide MEA user community.
MEA 2014 will offer a comprehensive overview of the following topics:
Applications in Life Science:
- Molecular engineering and analysis of cellular and subcellular
  properties of individual neurons,
- Applications in Systems Neuroscience (brain slices, retina, spinal cord, others)
- Heart: Electrophysiology and pharmacology in primary and stem
 cell-derived cardiac myocyte cultures,
- Pharmacology, toxicology, drug screening
- Electrical stimulation of single cells and neural tissue
- Information coding in neural networks, analysis of neural dynamics and plasticity
- Signal analysis and statistics: (standardization and validation of
MEA applications, algorithms and software, statistical methods for
 analyzing multi-electrode recordings)
MEA Technology:
- New materials and MEA design
- Advances in MEA fabrication and instrumentation (including arrays with
CMOS circuitry and hybrid systems, automated electrophysiology,
integration of nanotechnology, telemetric signal transmission)
- Cell and tissue culture including microfluidics.
- Multi-electrode probes for in - vivo applications
Multi Channel Systems sponsors this event.
