Workshop of the GDR "Multielectrodes Arrays"
The use of multi-electrode technology has brought a new vision for the organization and physiology of neural networks both in vitro and in vivo. The introduction of these techniques offers the opportunity to explore the nervous system at a mesoscopic level and to analyze the activity of cellular assembled. This approach combines both microscopic and macroscopic approaches levels by recording a network as a whole, while maintaining the simultaneous access to cellular information.
These multielectrode techniques are still hardly established in France and the objective of the GDR "multi-electrode system and signal processing applied to the study of neural networks" is to bring together and facilitate exchanges between the teams that use or wish use these approaches. The annual meeting is the perfect opportunity for this exchange.
