• Activity based Recordings
  The functionality of the SpikeTool and the Recorder were extended to allow an activity dependent recording. This is useful when active phases are embedded in long inactive phases and you don’t know when the active phases will occur. With the spike activity triggered recording just the interval around active phases can be stored on disk.

• Save Calibration Data to file.
  For diagnostic purposes you can save a hdf5 file containing the raw data measured at each sensor and the associated conversion factors calculated from this data. The format is the common raw data (*.cmcr) file format so that you can load it for inspection into CMOS-MEA-Tools. The raw data displays show the calibration signals at each sensor. If the calibration was correct the amplitude should be the that of the calibration stimulus.

• Main feature: Automatic System Calibration
  1. Monitor sensor signal drift. Continue when mean drift of the last 10 measurements is smaller than 20 ADC steps per second.
  2. Minimize sensor offset by adjusting ADC shift (Golden Section Search, Numerical Recipes 2. Edition).
  3. Calibrate sensor signals (sinewave bath stimulation (default 3 mV, 70 Hz), harmonic regression to estimate amplitude).
     Each optimization can be skipped by the user.
• Main feature: Read filter settings from device: The current filter settings are read from the device and stored in the frame info structure and saved to file.
• Toggle sensor selection: The stimulator assignment to stimulation electrodes can be toggled.
